River Ouse runs through York, dividing the centre of the city in two. If you read the history, it's basically been a town since before the Romans even got there in AD 71. Strange imagining all the changes that have happened around this river.
Thinking again about the flow of time and perception - been here a month today. While it seems like it's taken forever, at the same time I'm still only at the beginning of this particular chapter. Very different than the flow of days and weeks at home.
Time's arrow flies forwards always (?) but at strange velocities...
